Finally took the plunge
and ordered a Vegistroke for my 05 Harley truck. I had intended to do my own biodiesel production but with the temps here in winter I need a good heated setup. I figure as long as I have to go through all that I might as well just go with a Vegistroke. I'll probably make some biodiesel for the summer to run on the diesel side but I figure I'll only have to do a couple of batches to last me.
While I'm waiting for the stuff from DFA to get here I need to configure my filtration setup. I have a bag filter from McMaster Carr and a centrifuge from WVO Designs that I need to get rigged up. I also have about 800 gals. of wvo that's been settling that I can go ahead and filter. Man do I wish I had a big work shop and not just a 2 car garage lol. I figure I should be running by March. |

Good luck! I am still waiting on parts for my home built system (kinda like leons system on wvodesigns)
Did they tell you how long it will take to get your kit from them? |

If you mean from DFA they said 4 or 5 weeks with shipping if there are no hold ups from their suppliers.

Wow I thought the demand would be down by now and they would be able to ship them faster.
Are you planning on running any extra gauges on your system? like pressure, oil temp, coolant temp? I know its not needed but I am putting them on my setup just so I have a better idea of what is going on. How do you like that centrifuge from WVO Designs? I like how they use a baldor motor on it. those are good motors! |

I have assembled the centrifuge but I haven't run any oil through it yet. It's a nice piece though. I will run a fuel level and fuel pressure on the WVO at least. I am not sure I will add any others for that system. I don't know what the issue is with shipping the DFA stuff unless they are not stocking inventory and are sourcing components after the purchase. |

You are one of the few who are converting these days with the price of #2 so low. Many SVO kit vendors are dead in the water until diesel gets crazy again. Good luck. Great system.

Just out of curiosity, will you be converting your own? I done a few WVO conversions, my first one being a Frybrid kit and other than the price and 6 week wait it was great. It was a 6.5 chevy Suburban. I installed a gauge pillar with Fuel level, Fuel Pressure, Boost/EGT. And an auxillary Alum. 28 gal tank, and a their Microprocessor for automatic switching.

Also if anyone who is setup for oil is passing through Mid-Missouri, I have VERY Good veg oil. I get alot of people in WVO Mercedes car buying from us going from coast to coast. LOL I can get you pics and details of the filtration system if you want.
