Vegistroke in a 6.0
I am putting my Vegistoke from my 00 into my new 06 Lariat, and just wondering what others have noticed with running WVO in the 6.0. I am getting all the lines and wiring run so when the new engine fittings come in hopefully monday I will be running vegi again!!!
I have seen the post about the the being less of a heat source and plan on putting coolant pump on the return line. My truck is a Lariat so it has all the fancy stuff like the trip computer, Does anyone know how the truck calculates fuel economy? Does it measure the fuel flowing to the heads, tank level, or injector pulse? What I am wondering is the vegistoke shuts off the diesel pump and supplies the vegi completely separate, so is the fuel economy going to read just what diesel went through, and just keep counting until it hits 99.9mpg? Does it confuse the computer? Let me know what you guys have seen |

PM Clay (CHenry) I'm sure he'd love to check out this thread. He's got plenty of experience burning vegi in his 6.0

Also reading through the new version of the vegistoke installation instructions it says the fuel lines run down the bottom of the motor and over to the V3 module? Last edited by AFBLUE; 01-11-2009 at 09:44 AM. |

the 6.0 uses a different bolt at the heads. Its some kind of banjo bolt where as the 7.3 uses a Check Valve and NPT threads. other then that its about the same (i think)
