Question diesel secret/VO fuel

With the diesel secret fuel there is no magic formula. There is a formula for additives such as unleaded gasoline, kerosene.diesel kleen and a diesel secret additive, which I believe has a anti gelling agent amongst other things.I have built a pumping and filtering station which consists of 2 pumps,2whole house filters,1 20 micron and the other 2-5 micron.next is a goldenrod waterblock filter.Just add the ingrdiants as prescribed ,mix, and pump through the filters and into your rig.Takes about 20 minutes or so to make 30 gallons.I have incorporated asettling tank first and a storage tankin my system.I am going to start running this fuel in about three weeks and I will keep everyone informed of my experience with DSE.

What are you going to run this in? PSD? Year?
I can not reccomend strongly enough that you not do that.
It will cause coking of your rings followed by total engine failure.
That just doesn't work and alot of people are wishing they hadn't tryed it.

DSE fuel

I'm going to run this fuel in a 95 7.3 PSD.Thanks for the warning and I appreciate it.I also have the utmost trust and respect for all the people and their information and help on this forum all the same I am going to move ahead anyway. My truck is a secondary rig so I figure I might as well take a shot at it.DSE has a number of testimonials [dieselsecret.com and select testimonials] about the fuel experience, and there are some with ford PSD rigs that appear to be happy with the fuel. I personally know of one here in Portland that has been using it for some time and is very happy with it.That is how I got interested in it myself. Thanks again everyone.

I realize several people are doing this but I know of none that have logged as many as 100k miles doing it. Sure, short term it will work, but long term, maybe 50k miles, maybe less, maybe more your pulling the engine to replace it. Have you priced a new crate PSD engine lately?
It IS the consensus amoung the VO community that this will not work long term.
DSE is snake oil.

I would not do this as you will shorten the life of your motor! Its snake oil.
But do keep us posted and any problem that might happen. I just installed a very nice vegiestroke and i have been really happy. Check into kits such as the vegiekit and see if that would fit your needs.

Well as CHenry was saying about the coking which will cause the cylinder walls to polish out. I just talk to one of my friends that works at JoeCooper Ford in ok Yukon he is a Master diesel tech. He was telling me about one of the trucks there with low miles and no cross hatches. The rings are toasted and the bearings were all coked up too.The customer was doing this snake oil for a while and swore by it!
A well designed vegie kit will not allow this to happen...And what i mean is that the used vegie oil is heated to proper temp around 188deg or so and filtered with a well known fuel filter. Any oil left in the cyl or fuel lines will coke up and cause pre-mature wear without flushing the lines with diesel.
You will hear good things about snake oil from peopl that has not been using this method for years. And the ones that started to have problems traded there diesel in or had costly repairs. And they never get back on line to tell any one about all the problems they had.
Marc on here is a diesel tech and can tell you more about problems with the PSD.
CHenry has alot of knowledge of the vegie oil. Just be very carefull when trying tooo tobe good products.
This is what i am running now and i love it Home check it out.
