Had a score today

Well Craigslist had its best payoff today. Guy contacted me, said he was planning a wvo setup and had been using an old mobile home on some proper had bought a while back to process and store oil. Well his buddy talked him into selling him the trailer so he needed everything gone asap. When I got there he told me if I hadn't come to get it tonight ,he was planning on dumping it at local restaurants. Not bad for a hour drive /"treasure hunt" with my 2 year old. He was excited. We had to drive thru a pasture to get it. He thought that was cool to drive in the grass. Then once I loaded up I wasn't sure if I could make it out without sinking (IT just rained)

Either way not a bad free score

I'm guessing I'm around 200 ish give or take a few gallons. D2 out here hovers around 3.60-3.75 so yeah just shy of $800 of free fuel.

Truck is scheduled to be converted the end of april if all my parts get here in time.

Man, if I lived that far south, I sure would not be converting the truck. I damn sure would be converting the FUEL. Just my $.02.

but then that ruins the road trip potential for a truck that gets a whopping 15mpg.

Hows what?

Veggn u and I have spoke about b100 in the past. My end goal is still a b100 powered ti jeep. But that's down the road a ways

The biggest turn off for me with b 100 is the caustic chemicals I have to have in the garage. With a 2 year old and as much as I'm not home to keep an eye on him. That's a no go for me

When I was looking into bio I ran into clay. He snake and a few others turned me onto wvo. Seems like there is a risk with all of it. For now wvo hopefully will fit my need

Its OK Vandy. It just takes some guys longer to figure it out. Sorry ya got misled.

W A Y more engine damage risk with WVO/SVO.
Only FREE D2 beats 70 b100 that is Water washed, heat dried, high quality and trouble free.

I feel ya. I "bought" this rig with the intent to run wvo. That said I traded my k5 that I paid 4k for and drove maint. Free for 3 years for it. I've been driving it for 2.5 years now with minor money spent and got a 2800 insurance check for hail damage when I got caught in the may 20th tornado we had last year. All and all I say she's paid for her self. One reason I went with an obs instead of a newer truck is that if I blow my motor I'm really not out much. At this point I'm money ahead and can pick up a newer motor for a decent price if it comes to that.

At the end of the day it's a science experiment. I can't justify dropping a lot of coin on racing cars when my wife and kid aren't able to enjoy it with me. But this is more of a family 5th wheel hauler. So I don't feel bad playing with it.

Either way It will be a learning experience. Don't hold it against me when I start calling asking about the bio side for my jeep plans
