#4 Fuel oil?
Was wondering if #4 heating/fuel oil will burn in my 00 7.3L. There is a guy locally with ~1000 gallons that he is looking to get rid of, and his price is pretty good. Figured since it's not #2, perhaps that classifies it as an "Alternative" fuel and here would be the right place to ask :-)
From what I have read online #4 is a heavier grade than #2, and possibly less refined. Though I have a simple-centrifuge type CF to filter the fuel, and a heated WVO setup in my truck. (Well it's almost in my truck)
Course this guy may not even know if it is really #4, it's in a tank that used to heat a commercial building and he needs it removed for his insurance. Worst case is that if I can't burn it in the truck I use it for heating my home or shop, and really get him to come down on the price even lower. Think less than $.50/gallon
