Burning new Hydraulic oil?

I have a 2002 7.3 and I usually mix in some 2 stroke ashless oil in my tank, like a quart a tank, but I install elevators for a living and every job I do I have about 5-10 gallons of new ISO 32 Hydraulic oil. Am I going to have any issues mixing this with my diesel fuel? The most I have tried is 3 gallons with 20 gallons of diesel and my truck ran so much quieter and power and mileage didn't seem to suffer.

Any tips or input would be great.

I also have a basically unlimited supple of used hydraulic oil, but I worry about the multistage filtering process I would have to invest in as well as the ability to remove any metal, which in the oil we pull out is rare, but fine particles could still be in there.

Thanks Guys!

Dave

I think new hydraulic oil is probably a lot better than used first off. I know a 7.3 will pretty much burn anything short of road tar, my old '99 sure did, but I think you're doing the right thing by mixing it at a lower concentration(<5gal/tank) it'll save you $10-$15 every now and then and you have enough D2 running through there to clean everything up so to speak.
Plus you probably wont need that 2 Stroke oil anymore.
I'm interested to know how it reacts to the cold though. Keep us in the know!

update:

I've ran about 6 tanks worth of approx. 22 gallons of diesel mixed with 5 gallons of clean hydro iso32 oil

MPG is up slightly, maybe 1-1.5mpg

Power seems equal if not slightly better, but not that noticeable.

Smokes a little on cold start ups but that has been in 5-15 degree weather until it warms up.

Cold starts I haven't had a single issue.

Engine definitely is quieter! especially at idle.

Total fuel savings thus far, about $120
