National VegOil Board (NVOB) New non-profit for advancing legal VegOil based Fuel
Just wanted to bring this to everyones attention.
NVOB Website This is a newly started non-profit, with the stated mission; To provide education about and support for VegOil as a fuel; to facilitate VegOil discussions and events; to promote VegOil research, analysis and funding Currently it is in the early forming stages, with a need for members, vender support, etc. Cynthia Shelton, founder, director and VO enthusiast, is currently seeking to fill the (volunteer) Officer positions of Secretary and Treasurer, both of which need to be within driving distance of the SF Bay area headquarters in San Bruno. Her contact info is listed on the Web Site. Soon there will be an effort to attract board members who will be: (quotes from Cynthia's posts) "a team chosen for their skills, resources, connections, and dedication. They may or may not be directly linked to the industry or have financial interests in VegOil advancement. They will be professionals, with experience in non profit operations." Currently, the plan is for long term strategy of the NVOB to be voted on and decided once the board is assembled. "Right now what the website does is provide an archive for VegOil information and news, a calendar for relevant events, a cool book otherwise unavailable in this country, and a lot of plans to become more. If you want to help build the NVOB, become a member. Click on Help Build This Website or the blue Volunteer button to find out what needs to be done." While Cynthia is not claiming to be the best person for the job or the most knowledgable, she saw the need and decided to take action. In her words; "If someone can unify the VegOil community better, I suggest they step forward and get cracking. But in the meantime, the NVOB is the only non-online, organized SVO community doing any activity in an organized fashion out there. |

Link seems OK. There is a bit of construction going on so maybe you hit it at a bad time. I just joined NVOB myself, so if things get really messed up over there it's probably my fault I'll pop the injector write-up article in a post in the tech area now. Don |
