not used straight atf but am planning on tryin it. I have run straight spindle oil which is very light. I have been running a mix of 40 gallons hydraulic oil and or 20w50 oil with 15 gallons diesel for the past 3000 miles with very good results. Better mileage!!!

i know a buddy of mine has been running straight used ATF on his rig for over a year now.....

only thing i would see bad is that its dyed red... if you ever get dipped they will think your using off-road fuel

oil as fuel. Those who say it is bad and is going to cost you in the end are ignorant and scared. Look at diesel military vehicles. You can run anything in them including gasoline for a short period. I know these are different engines but the concept is the same. Everyone is a freggin expert on things they know nothing about.. These people are everywhere just waiting and hoping you will fail so they can say "Ha! i told you so!! Ha Ha!!!!) Unless you talk to someone who can tell you they have had trouble and give you the specifics don't worry about it. The only other person I know who is running a used oil is a teacher I had at Makino factory training school who has a 97 stroke with over 300K and had been running used spindle oil since he bought it new. Granted spindle oil is clean and clear just like when it went into the machine. it is also light. very close to that of diesel.. Anyway!! Just do it!

against fines by keeping a log book in your truck with dates, mileage and gallons of fuel added oh and what type of fuel. If you get dipped you produce this log book and tell them you have every intention of paying the road tax at the end of the year. I don't remember the form number but you can get the form from the net that you mail in with your payment. This has been an issue in my area with people running WVO and as long as you are keeping track then its fine. Talk to your local petreloum company they can fill you in on the details.
