Hydrogen gas supplement!!!!!!!!!

Some guys are going to think this is crazy, but I tried it and the concept works! I bought a set up from a guy that produces hyrdogen gas and I directed that gas into my intake right before the turbo. I was very skeptical, but these high fuel prices are forcing me to look at other alternatives. I put this system on my '94 IDI turbo, I will say the system I bought was over-priced for the quality of the material that was used to build it ( I know it would work much better with better thinking and materials). I am having trouble with it leaking the water out and the gas before it gets to my intake, but I think I could build a better system and I will. I got a good milage test empty with it, I filled up till I could see the diesel standing, then drove 75 miles and filled up again the same way, the results were 22.3mpg and I have never got more than 17 mpg up to this point. The bonus of all this is the added power I got from a cleaner burn w/more oxygen!! I am guessing I got another 30-50hp judging by the gains on the hills with my 40' flatbed (about 10mph faster) and the best advantage was my EGT's went down about 150degees!!! There is a company called Eagle-Research that has a better system than what I bought, I am taking mine back monday since it leaks so bad now, I may build my own next! It is very simple and the results were fantastic, I would not have beleived it if I had not used it for 2,000 miles with milage and power gains, but it works!

I'm planning on doing this on my 2005 6.0L so this is great news hearing from someone who actually did this and it worked. That's a big jump in mpg over 25%. Did you have to make any other mods or was it as simple as teeing the hose into the air intake ?

Please keep us posted when you build your new unit.

George

Check this link out. This is a friend of my brother in law. He has seen 8 mpg improvements and it looks very well designed. Welcome to Hydrogen Fuel 2 Go, Save Gas With Our Product

It is really so simple it is not even funny. The PVC cannister has a neg. and a pos. stainless steel bolt through the screw on lid ( weak point of the unit, heat from the engine causes expansion and leaks water and gas), the guy used low-grade stainless steel elec. socket covers connected neg. and pos. to the bolts on the lid, then it runs through a relay and something else and back to your battery. An amp meter is used to monitor the out-put, which couses heat also. The stainless steel needs to be higher quality than what mine has, I am getting some major corrosion and peeling. A hose runs out of the top of the cannister to a clear plastic container entering through the bottom, a hose on the lid of this container goes to the intake right before the turbo. This container is called a bubbler, it is about 3/4 full of distilled water (canister also has distilled water) and you can see the hydrogen gas bubbles going through this clear container to the top of the water and then out the hose. I think other units use a stainless steel container instead of the PVC pipe I have that leaks too much making it a whole lot less efiencent. This concept really does work, better economy, a cleaner burn w/ a whole lot more oxygen, and a nice power increase with lower EGT's! I have run it about 2,000 miles, no problems with engine what so ever. When it is all working right the exhaust has no smell and less of it, and this truck has the pump turned up a lot! I almost have 300,000 miles on this truck and when this system is running right it pulls an equal load as well maybe better than our '06 6.0! I am going to get better stainless steel plates, and build a better canister for it to produce gas in, I have a friend and an uncle researching a better way. I will keep you posted.

I am really curious to know if this technology could simply do the same thing for diesel emmissions that the DPF's are doing on our new diesels without the power and milage sacrifices we are getting, instead we would have more power and better fuel economy! This needs to be looked into!

No problem. I hope they can help you out. I am going to meet with this guy personally and see if I can get him to use my truck as a guinea pig.
