It helps if you do not think of it as two separate shots. Instead imagine a single shot with a stutter. Here is a link to a good description of the split shot:
How the PowerStroke injection system works

The prevailing theory is that the HHO is all burned up in the first part of the shot and there is nothing left to improve the burn of the remaining part of the shot. As far as I know this theory has never been proven. Single shot Powerstrokes and lesser off brand diesels seem to benefit more from the HHO. Single shot Diesels also get better mileage with propane injection.

I started this thread a while back and have since built three generators. I use one on my '94 IDI all the time and it works great! I have seen a 4-5mpg increase, lower Egt #'s, a VERY smooth running engine, and a very good power increase. There are a few things I have learned that are a must: first the pos. connection to the plates needs to be spot welded so that no movement can be made at that point causing an ark and a small explosion, second good 8-10 gauge wire is a must to keep the heat down, and third a one way valve is needed between the bubbler and the generator. I made a very temporary set-up on my 6.4 with out doing any modifying to the truck, just put a battery in the bed with a generator and ran hose to the air cleaner and stuck it in the hose that goes down by the turbo. I did a one mile test (same direction exact same speed, same mile) and saw a slight increase of about 1/2 a mpg in that one mile. I think the results would be better if the gas was injected between the turbo and the air filter like my other truck, but as it was I still saw a slight increase. This concept is real and it does work. I dont know how it will do on a 7.3 Powerstroke but I will know next week because a buddy and I are building a big generator out of a 5 gal. bucket for his 2002 7.3. Keep up the good work out there, we can use all the good ideas and fuel saving tips we can get!!!

Hydrogen gas supplement

Fellas for the money,I'd wait awhile.
Thoses systems are $$$ 'y. You have heard ford is working on alcohol injection system. You can distill your own alcohol and inject it.Just switch over from a spare tank after it revs up on the RPM.
Brewsky for free /milage. No bartering for greese. No prohibition

I read about the split shot injectors I learned that they did not come out with them in the PSD until 96.Well mine is a 95 so here I go.I am thinking about putting 2 generators side by side and installing them in a real nice deckplate box right in front on the bumper sorta like a winch cover. No worry about rising temps and I would only have to have one bubbler for both because of the short run to the engine. If you ran it from the bed of the truck then you need to have a bubbler in the bed and one around the firewall, but what ever, two bubblers should be used for that distance. It will take awhile but I will post when I finish and get the results.

I am subscribing to this. I have been trying to catch up on 22 pages of posts. Has anyone had much luck with the 6.0 or is it mostly the 7.3?

Did you read about the splitfire injectores? Some think HHO won't work if you have them in your rig.I am working with gas right now so I don't know too much about diesel. Here is a company that has alot of really good info but not on diesel, however they have a forum that I believe they can answere most of your questions. It is great reading about HHO.www-fuelsaver-mpg.com.I am going there now to ask about diesels and HHO.
