Clay, I agree with you. For this to happen so close to the Quad install, it seems this is what accelerated the failure of your injectors, not the vegi. I know a diesel mechanic in PA that cleans the oil and dumps it in his tank, no heating, no mods at all. His only concern is this winter and gelling. If anyone would see adverse effects from vegi, he would. He drives an older VW with a 6" exaust! Don't ask, I don't know... All I do know is he's a very accomplished mechanic.

If you need some help, we can hook up and meet at your place or mine and compare notes on the subject.
I'm in Tuttle, OK, not far from OKC at all.
I also have a supply of excess vegi oil to fill your tank when you get ready for it.
Hey thanks! That would be great if you could help me out. I have a shop in the city off of 23rd and may but i might be moving it at the same time so i might have to borrow some ones.I dont mind the drive at all and i can bring the beer!

Really? How long has he been running this same engine like this? It's a good thing he's an accomplished mechanic cause he's going to need some work on that motor if he continues doint that.
It is already proven and documented that this type ofvegi oil use will cause coking of the rings an injectors causeing engine failure eventually. Just injecting cold VO into a cold engine will not result in complete burn and does leave behind carbon.
On a good note, the Quadzilla has been removed and will be sent back to DPP for a refund. Larry was awsome to work with on this - even though I had exceded the 30 day return limit, he realized that with my truck being down for injector failure that I just didn't have time to do anything untill I got that resolved and he agreed to refund it 100%. So, I am keeping the commander and ditching the power mod. When i find a good 7.3 to trade for, the commander will transfer to that (as well as the vegi oil system) and then i can get another power mod and I will be buying it from Larry at DPP again.

I don't have a shop (yet) but i have a garage....your truck won't fit all the way inside but it will go far enough to keep the wind and rain off. Your welcome to come out or i can come to your place and lend a hand. I helped a little on my install but jason did most of it and it still took 18 hours or so. That was complicated by about 5 extra hours of stuff that wouldn't normally be a problem though so it really should have been a 12-13 hour ordeal.
What kind of shop do you have in the city? A mechanic shop, body shop, etc?
Just let me know when you want to tackle it and I will make some time to help out and my garage is open for use also.
23rd and May is probably 25 miles from my house so it's not a long drive really.

Um, it took the longest to run the heater hose t's under the hood and replace the stock fule line fittings with check valve banjos and then tapping into the rear of the heads for the vegi fuel lines wasnt' real easy to reach. Other than that, installing the tank took a couple hours, running the wires into the cab and installing the turbo timer and guages wasn't hard but a little time consuming. Jason did mine in a day....we started at 7:30 am and finished at 11:00 pm that night but we also had to go hunt down some brass fittings that Jason forgot to bring with him and we spent 4 hours driving to the city, went to 6 different places before we found what we needed.
When you buy a kit, expect to have everything you need so you could do it in a day or take your time and make it 2 days. If you had help, cut the time in half.
