Waste Motor Oil for Fuel?

Ok, I've been reading in here quite a bit, and only noticed 1 area mentioning this, so I'd like some input from you guys/gals.

I saw this on E-Bay, and got to thinking.....

SUMP OIL TO DIESEL PLANS = HOME MADE BIO FUEL FOR FREE! - eBay (item 270221410659 end time Mar-30-08 02:01:39 PDT)

I'm looking into the Bio-Fuel options, and this caught my eye. I have access to an AWFUL LOT of Motor oil....

Thanks for your thoughts....

People I know have been adding their used oil to the fuel for years. Mostly they strain it through cheesecloth, and add about a gallon or so every tank, the truckers add the whole 5 gallons to their tank fulls.

From what I'm gathering from this E-Bay Auction, you're not really using the Used motor Oil in itself. It's being processed (Like Bio ???????????) to be converted to Diesel????
Without spending the $132 for the Info, I'm NOT Sure, but that's what I'm gathering....

waste oil is not bio fuel for one. and secound waste oil contains lots of toxic heavy metals which unless filtered out will be vaporized by the engine and put into the air for people to breath. Not a good thing

Some people are doing it, blending it with RUG and Kero. I wouldn't do it.

The truckers that I know that are using their used motor oil said they also use some kinda of a magnet in the screening process...I'm too chicken to do it myself.
