Clay, I just bought a converted '95. I have a great veg source. Is 200 micron a good filter to use as a filter before pouring it in my tank? I am a backyard type of a guy and not a scientist like you. LOL

if you only filter to 200 microms, your 5 micron on board filter will catch the rest but you will be changing that filter often!
I filter to 5 microns and currently have over 7k miles on my on board filter.

fill-up

$115.00 for a fill-up? How about $140.00 and you watch, diesel will hit $ 5.00 within a year or less.Sure makes alternative fuels look good. Also if it takes 2-3 hours to make say 40 gallons and at the same time save about $3.00 a gallon then it seems to me that one has a great part time job making about $40.00 an hour.I just threw that in because I was reading a thread and the guy was complaining about the time it took to make his home made fuel.

I can make a 50 gallon batch in 12 hours with only 30 minutes of my time.
Lets see, thats 400.00 per hour

i have a writeup on here complete with pics.
Its a sticky so its top of the list of topics.
Milage is the same...maybe 1 mpg less but i'm not sure since i don't run diesel long enough to get a true reading on it.
I was reading 18.5 mpg this morning on the computer readout.

hit well even if i was getting 13mpg city driving i would hav to refuel every 1200 miles. i think in the long run its worth it cause your main diesel tank isnt getting usued that much just for engine heating then once everythign ready switches over. only thing for me if finding a place to do all the water seperation

Ask your 1st shirt if you can have a 2'X4 area out in back of the hanger or whatever building you have there on the base.
