You could always do like the _____ that I talked to yesterday. His ad said "collecting more than I can handle, please contact". I called him to see if I could help get some off of his hands so that I can have some trip fuel for the summer. He offered that I come by and pick it up unfiltered for $2 a gallon. I laughed and explained that people like him would be the reason when we start paying taxes on WASTE oil.

Introducing WVO to your stock fuel system (blended or not) is just asking for alot of different problems. Too many other people have already proven this. |

And they are diesel engine powered too ![]() I have seen them for sale for under $2k in good running condition. Processing is another issue but if you build a large enough heating/settling container like my "chernoble" device, you could do 200 gallons a week. Last edited by CHenry : 07-11-2008 at 06:18 AM. |

MIGHT be cool? Who the hell wouldn't like to own a real working fire engine! You would look kool going to collect your vegi oil! Actually, Chris Goodwin of Frybrid recently bought one and is going to use it for vegi collection. so it wasn't my idea. He paid 1500 bucks and drove it home with the lights flashin...

One thing about getting it right fromthe tank, all the trash is settled at the bottomin the morning. The restraunt I get it form has some one who collects it but the restraunt is family owned so he'll just have to get over it. Around here they only give .05 a gallon so if your detrmined I sure you could under cut them with very little effort if you had your own tank out for collection. P.S. I run straight oil no bio processe no preheating. I mix 1 gallon of diesel to 4 gallons of oil and have a home made flitering system before it ever goes through the fuel pump. I have 2 tanks, I start on straight diesel and after warm up switch to oil, and before shut off I switch back to diesel to clear the injectors. Been doing this for 9 months with no problems, starts right up every time. |
