I had problems with valves as well. Here's what I ended up with:
1 2" 230 PSI Electric Solenoid Valve 12 V DC Viton B22V | eBay

It's kind of a pain to mount but It works awsome. Ive had it on the truck for a year and a half and its worked awsome

The above valve is the correct spec and materials, EXCEPT brass should be avoided if possible. VO reacts with the brass, and creates a blue/green slime.
Otherwise its specs are just what ya are looking for in a purge valve.

I agree, but I used it because 1 is works, 2 its after the rail its not quite as big of a concern, 3 Ive gone through 3 other valves at this point that all failed(the plastic delrin crack and dump diesel everywhere externally), I needed something that worked & 4 Ive taken it apart multiple times and its as clean as a whistle. I think it stays clean because it gets flushed with diesel regularily and usually is sitting diesel not wvo.

Have you looked at the valve wvo designs sells?

I am using a mcmaster valve. I had one leak after 2-3 years and replaced it with the same one. I think they were about 30 bucks. If this one fails I will try one from wvo designs.
