Diesel with Natural Gas

I'm trying to find a way to use natural gas with diesel as a catylist, to run my 99 Ford F250,I know it can be done up to 80% CNG 20% Diesel. If anyone has heard of or has a system for sale please tell me for you see I have free gas rights and 80% free sounds good to me

CNG fumigations systems are a dime a dozen. They are a great way to generate excessive egt's..

cng

WOW that's cool, a duel fuel injector, what disturbs me is that they don't have prices listed, that usually means that its way too expensive thanks for the response though. I'll post the prices if they respond t e-mail .Why do you think the fogger burns the pistons? too much o2 mixed too soon?

got this reply...Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Westport Innovations. We do not sell our injectors at this point in time. Please see our website at www.westport.com for more information.

LPG or Natural gas is a great idea if you like cylender pressure spikes and torque loss.......its VERY hard on motors and i personally would stay away from LPG as a fuel....

LPG (or natural gas) burns way hotter than diesel and doesnt burn as long, but it burns hotter when it is burning. Therefore it doesnt push the piston down as long as diesel (the torque loss) and it has way higher cylender pressures (due to all of it burning so fast). I didnt look into the kits you guys have listed, but im assuming they are just an injection nozzle into the cold side of the CAC system. If the system malfunctions at all, you also would have more potential for a runaway than i would be comforatable with as well.

LPG has less energy density so you shouldn't expect lots of "MPGs" unless that rating is only in terms of diesel

That is, of course, unless the vehicle was designed for it from the ground up
