If he's putting vegi oil into his diesel tank, he's destroying his engine. You can do this if it's done properly and you will save LOTS of $$ on fuel. I am doing it. I have a 2 tank system, one for diesel and one for used vegi oil. I get the oil 40 gallons at a time when i go to a bar/grill that serves alot of fryed chicken and they give me the oil instead paying a renderer to take it away. The system i have is flawless and simple. I start up the truck on diesel, drive about 4 miles untill the engine reaches full operating temp, and then it auto switches to vegi oil and I"m using free fuel at that point. My commute to work is 30 miles so i get 26 of those miles on free fuel. My last tank of diesel lasted me 2300 miles! Do that math. The oil MUST be heated to 160 degrees before injection. If not, the viscosity of the oil is too hight to spray properly throught the inlectors (like spraying butter through a windex bottle) and it will not attomize properly and cause incomplete cumbustion and cabonization in the chamber, uper ring coking and contamination of the crankcase oil....followed shortly by complete engine death. Do it the right way and yes, it is a proven alternative fuel for any diesel motor. Do it wrong and it is a proven way to kill your motor. Visit
this website for the best ford PSD vegi oil conversion you will find. This is the one i have. Another good place to find ALOT of information is
here.
