Anyone working on Nh3 injection?
Lots of stuff on here about cng, Lng, and propane but nothing on Nh3 (liquid ammonia).
It's been tested on tractors using up to 95% and works great! It stores like propane, it's a lot cheaper but would use twice as much. It's only 44,000 btu compared to 80,000 btu. I'm thinking a supplement like with dpi setup. Any thoughts? |

If i was a farmer and had better access to nh3 I'd be all over this! Yes it's flammable under compression and is ideal for 17:1 compression. Will at auto ignite 22:1. I'm surprised no one responded. It would increase mpg and with better emissions! Even when the market for it was high i think it would be around $0.80 compared to the $2.49 of propane. You just need non corrosive tubing and inject into the intake. I haven't tried it but from what I've read it does work.
