OE fuel gauge for wvo tank

Has anyone wired a toggle allowing the fuel level sending unit from an auxiliary tank to use the gauge in the instrument cluster?

This appears to be exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the write up was under the old URL and I can't find a way to access it.
