Ok. Here is the layout.
You have a 2000 f250 7.3. Getting ready to put a good vo system on it. Need a pump. Which one do you get. Is there one for vo with a lifetime warrenty? I want plenty of pump, but warranty does play into the decision. Thanks for any imput. |

Have you spoken to them. Can they still get the pump? I'll check with them tomorrow. Thanks |

FASS HPFP For Straight Vegetable Oil
With Adjustable regulator! New 23Amp HPFP with externally adjustable regulator from 10-80psi Considering this one also. Only a 6 yr. warranty however. Any comparisons between the two? Found it a Rover Hybrids for fairly good price as it goes. |

I used a FASS from rover hybrids. I got the pump and filter assembly.
It has a coolant port for heating the manifold (but not the filters) and a lifetime warranty. So for I like mine, I've only done 1 major trip with it about 1k miles. It's noisier than I would like though, but you can't hear it in the cab. |

From what i just read i don't think that its internally regulated. It sounds like they just added a regulator on the outlet side. Not sure it matters, or that it would effect performance. Aaron?? |

Well I can only speak of the pump I'm running, and it is set with a spring and check ball. I don't know why they couldn't have put in an adjustable regulator, the pump already has it's own return.
The regulating "assembly" is built into the filter manifold block, not sure how it's done when you buy just the pump. My ADII on the other hand, has a nice adjustable regulating screw on it. |

I throw my weight behind the FASS SVO version. It's been great for the last 20k miles or so. The Raptor (pure flow) does not have the juice to move cold oil, as you will inevitably have in and around the pump. Leon (WVO designs) has a new pump, but no one has significant mileage on one. My vote is for the FASS.

Unless something has changed: Raptor pumps are not covered by any type of warranty when used with vegetable oil by the manufacturer which is Air Dog. Remember the warranty falls to the company that makes it, not the company that sells it.
Go with a FASS pump because you can call them up and they will tell you yes your pump is covered for VO use but they dont have any claims as to how long it will last on VO. I have 6500 miles on my FASS with a lifetime warranty and no problems ever. |

Well as luck would have it, the FASS only has a 4 year on it for v/o now.
Oh well, better than 1 or 2! |
