5.09$ a gallon! and I thought 3$ a gallon was a lot

So when I converted back in October of 2010 I figured that 3$ a gallon (price of D2 in October) was way too much and I was done with buying diesel in mass quantities. in the past week I have put 1000 miles on my truck taking my family to different places (mini vacations) all on veggie oil. We were driving back from Vegas today and could not believe it that in Amboy, CA D2 was at $5.09. Luckily I took an extra 20 gallons with me so I could drive around Vegas aimlessly. We also hit 8500 miles since I converted which at the 3$ a gallon was the mileage I'd have to drive to get my 2,000$ investment from my system back.

WVO is a life style.. there is so much more to it than you first think...

I drove 1300 miles in the last 10 days veggin the whole way 500 more miles this weekend with the gooseneck and 14k lbs.

The best part is 600 of those miles were for work so they paid me $300 in milage

funny you say that because tomorrow I am doing 160 miles for work at 51 cents a mile and I will be picking up 450 gallons of oil also at my destination that I am paying 200$ for. I also have to drop off a grill to DIETOREMAIN. Everyone thinks I'm joking when I tell them that the best job right now for me is a janitor at mcdonalds so I have access to the grease dumpsters.

It uses the stock fuel filter for VO... no thanks....

He upgraded my system to utilize the unused fuel rail ports in the head and a check valve system to make purge times quicker. He he works with any budget. He had my 40 gallon stainless tank made custom with a horizontal heated pickup for $600. So happy I don't have to spend $4 a gallon!
