Fried glow plugs

Hey guys,

I am having serious glow plug issues.

Glow Plugs, electrical questions

I just wanted to check and see if any of you have had repeatedly glow plug issues? I don't see why the SVO would affect glow plug performance, but I think I have to take it to the shop and I'm pretty sure the first thing the dealer will say is, "must be the veg kit." Want to get my story straight.

So this is an interesting thread that I've found. In the past, my plugs haven't looked that bad, but similar.

i would chk your elec out. i dont think thats from oil.

How does your system purge? If you're not getting a complete purge, then you're starting with some veg oil in the engine, which might lead to the glow plugs building up gunk and then fouling.
