What are your thoughts on water injection to insure no VO coking

This is the thread I have going on Frybrid.Will water/ meth injection prevent VO coking? - Forums

I am looking for more input from some Powerstrokin Veggiers for your opinions on if this is something I should be looking into & if anyone on here has a kit on their truck. Don't really know if it is necessary but if it cleans combustion chambers for the cost I think I might do it.

2001 f-350 ext.cab. 7.3 auto non dually. 262k miles. New HD tranny at 67,000 miles. Boost, EGT, Tranny temp gauges. 04/10 DIY check valve VO conversion. 20 plate FPHE,Fass HPFP set at 70 PSI,TIH, 10 micron spin on filter with coolant wrap, 150 micron prefilter, hrydraforce purge valve, 40 gallon greasecar tank with hotfox, SS braided hose to heads, Oil temp, pressure & fuel level gauges. 110K miles on grease. Monitoring with Torque.

ITs absolutely a good idea. I don't have it on mine yet but as of recently I have decided it needs to go on my list of mods...top of the list.

2003 6.0 F350 dually on high cholesterol fuel (WVO)
2000 7.3 Excursion also on a high cholesterol fuel

Thanks Clay. I think I am sold on the idea as well.

Do you think a stage one setup will suffice for combustion cleaning? That is the cheapest kit. Looks like that only comes on when you reach a certain amount of boost pressure.

Iv been reading that thread on Frybrid. How dose the water/meth get rid of cooking?

What if u set up a diy kit that u would use for only cleaning, but clean the motor say once a week instead of running it all the time like regular water/meth?

I think any amount at all is good for cleaning. The stage 2 is more for lower EGT on juiced up rigs i think. Stage 1 is still 250cc per min. right?

I think yes on stage 2 & yes on 250 cc per min. Not sure though. Still learning on this.

some guys are running windshield washer fluid, it wont freeze. Don't know much about meth and I don't plan to use it at all. Just the water for obvious reasons.
