I wish I could find where I read it, but you can use upto a certain amount before you have to pay taxes on it. But that info is a couple years old so may not even be true anymore.

Bio only takes one tank, Veggie Oil takes two tanks as you have to heat up the oil so it burns better.

Im gonna chime in here about Clay....

I personally would still consider him a friend, but he had some differences of opinions with myself and Alan that we could not resolve, and after a few things happened that we felt potentially detrimantal to the site, we decided his presance was not in the best interest of the site. That being said, i still think Clay is a great guy and i still talk to him regularly, but he is no longer a member here. We dont need to have a Q&A session about it, what happened in the past is the past, but i thought i would at least answer the question about where he was.

Thanks for the insight on that Marc. I was wondering the same thing myself but just hadn't asked yet. As far as the bio-fuel goes, I figured it was only a matter of time before the government stepped in and started making examples out of hard working honest people who care about their dollar and the impact on the environment. Hate to hear that they nailed this guy.

I run vegie oil in Texas, Ohio, all the way up to NY and never had a problem. I go through DOT scale all the time and they love it. Never had a problem yet. As for Clay i talk to him all the time and i dont think he should have been baned from this site! He has been very helpful and help poeple out all the time. Now some states are starting a bio or vegie permit to over come the fuel tax and to still get your money!
The gov will never stop at screwing us.

I heard about this on another site and yes it's total BS! What about the Prius??? It uses electricity to power the car. Yes some gasoline is used to help charge the batteries but then I can say my diesel is used to heat my veggie fuel....same difference if you ask me.

And the pollution aspect is HUGE! The guys at emmissions ran the truck 3 times and had to almost redline the engine to get the slightest measurement on their scopes, I love it!
