A 2002 has the new Viton seals and hoses that don't break down like the old rubber stuff.

For your other question: it's my experience that it's faster and less frustrating to buy a kit rather than assemble your own. Just avoid greasecar like the plague! If you insist on going it alone you need a tank, filter, heater, solenoid switches, coolant and fuel hose, and some decent fab skills. I've been doing conversions for awhile and have not put together my own kit yet.

Agreed! avoid greasecar!
A kit will cost you a couple hundred more and save you 200 trips to the parts store as well as all the headace. Get a kit and the best system you will find for a PSD is the vegistroke system.

Best way to get Vegi oil is to talk to some restaraunts and get their used stuff and filter it. Then it only costs you time

Yah, however my main reason for getting this system is i travel to and fro the west coast now and then to visit family. its more convient to pop into walmart and pick it up new then stop pull out a filter station suck it up and then take off. not to mention finding a place that has WVO for you.

Even if SVO came out to be about 1.50 gallon the savings is huge!

Getting it from Walmart in 5 gal at a time will cost you more than 1.50 gallon. It is 15$ per 5gal from Walmart. It is cheaper to run diesel if you do not want to go dumpster diving. I run a centrfuge on my tank and it will filter 100gals in 3 to 4 hours depends on how dirty it is. And its heated and pump from the vegiestroke kit i have. I just put on a 3 way ball valve and ran another line to the tank and BAM! Im cleaning as im driving and after i test it i will turn the ball valve and put my centafuge on the side of my tank and im cooking
