IDI running veggie?

is it possible for a idi to run on veg?


reason is i heard about the ip shearin veggie or its not veggie friendly.

The old IDI is kinda like the 12 valve totally mechanical. It will run on just about anything.

thats good to know. but the fuel system is way different and i would think it needs some overhaulin or adapting.

the other question would be does the lift pump need to be deleted and swap over to 2 electric fuel pumps for diesel and veg? you cant stop the lift pump if the engine is running.

i suppose it depends on how stout the LP is. if its not strong then i would assume it would be deleted.

As long as the vegi supply is filtered and heated run it through the idi. No problems

well if the stock LP was used, thats a long pruge time and fuel filter purge. so it would be best to get around that then, cause that LP goes straight to the fuel filter.

i know nothing about IDI's, but my first thoughts are either delete the LP and add a acouple CV's behind the IP, or keep the LP, add CV's, and a 3 way switch behidn the IP D2 side.

but for reliability, i would assume it best to delete the LP, if thats done feasibly.
