i run it in my 06 work truck and my 07 personal truck. i notice both power and mileage increases. for the 6.4 you have to use the one that is made for the 6.4.i have 100,000 on my 06 and i love this stuff. (the one that ford sells that says powerstroke cetene boost and poformance improver)good stuff!

I'll throw a vote for the motorcraft cetane boost and performance improver. i have quicker acceleration, the engine is much more quiet, no more white smoke at startup, and no loss of fuel efficiency.

If you need cetane boost you might as well buy a regaurl diesel fuel conditoner. IT will help it many more ways then just C-tane.

further to reddog848's comments, I have used Lucas and recently tried Howe's additives.
The key is adding lubricity to ULED. Without the sulfur, the lubricity of new diesel is alot lower than in the past. These additives help fix that. I believe both lucas and Howe's fix that issue.
I have run both in my truck, and find the Howe's had the biggest impact, "seat of the pants" if you will.

BUY IT!!! USE IT!!! EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE PAYING MORE, YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE WHAT YOU NEED AS FAR AS LUBRICITY!!!

Cetane Booster harmful?

I just got my first diesel, it is a 2003 Ford F250 6.0L 4Dr Crew Cab 2wd with 20100 miles. I have added an airaid replacement filter, diablo tuner, and removed the muffler for better sound. Future project is a 4" or 5" turbo back exhaust. I have done a few trips and I get about 15 to 20 mpg in the city. The other day I took a trip to the mountains and was doing 80 and then 75. I still got 20 mpg on the economy setting. Since I have added Power Service Diesel Kleen + Cetane Boost, I have noticed lower performance and I have been producing black smoke (unburned fuel?). I am currently waiting to empty the tank and then refill it to see if it was the booster, or if there is something else wrong. Anyone have any ideas?
