Just curious if it's just me or did these units take a heck of a price jump?? I thought a couple months ago they could be purchased for a little less than $4k....now by the time you get a tank and everything they are pushing $5k?
Would I be better off going to a dealer and getting it straight from him instead of off the website?? Also if I'm trying to save a little money how much would I give up by getting the manual system over the automated one?? I don't mind switching it over myself if it means saving $1500, but if theres a lot more to it then i'll bite the bullet and spend the money for the better system.
Yah, I dont remember the V3 being $3975. I would buy the simple kit before it goes up too.....
My GF is buying an Excursion and it will not have a V3! Not for that kind of dough...:hehe:
Hey Clay- you are the poster boy for DFA- Whats up with the new pricetag? Kind of puts the payoff with the kit and tank with MSRP for install at 30,000 plus miles......not including a filtration system.:yikes:
Thats what I was thinking....I thought back in January or something they were like $3975 with tank and everything.
That's my deliema....30k miles is a long time to wait for payback, plus you have another $1k in a filtration system. Now if Diesel jumps back up to $5 a gallon that will def speed it up....but right now we are "only" at $3.35 a gallon.
When i bought mine they were 1200...4 years ago, its inflation boys. Remember when you could also buy a gal. of milk for .75 cents?
The price of everything is going up and honestly these guys are not making that much money on their kits, in fact they were loosing money at the old price because all their parts manufacturers went up awhile ago and they did not. They were on the verge of going under because of this but were afraid a price hike would make these kits to expensive to most people. The only choices they had were to raise their price, drop back to a cheaper design or fold. I myself just bought one for the 08. Its not all about money and free fuel for me though, its the lack of dependancy for the pump. If/when there is a fuel shortage like back in the 70s, while everyone else is lined up to get there weekly 10 gal. ration of fuel, i'll be vegin and grinnin. Is that feeling worth $5k? Damn skippy it is.
No i understand completely and from what I gather their kit is well worth the money. I just wish I would have pulled the trigger a couple months ago and saved myself a grand haha.
it is well worth it and supporting 2 amazing guys, they were doing great when prices were high, but now the prices are managable no one wants it, but really even if fuel was $1 a gallon i would much rather spend $3500(when i got mine) to help these guys out than give $1 a gallon to our government. they are so committed to there work that neither one has gotten money from ther business in over 2 years. its a big chunk of change . for any one but the system is flawless and they are the best customer service, i had problems with the instal that i paid to get put it, and they said hey if u can get the truck up here they will do it for free, and they did and even tried to take me out to lunch......all in all its the best kit out there and always will be and the best guys with the best customer service
He is, but you would be better off calling their shop if you want to talk to them. Hes on here very little as he has little time between the business, a full time job, family, etc. Get on their website and look up the number.
