Four years on VO

This month marks four years running VO in my Powerstroke. The PlantDrive kit still works like a charm. I have about 35K VO miles by now. The only casualty has been mechanical fuel pumps which seem to last only a year running VO but since they are only $84 and I'm an expert in changing them I have no desire to upgrade to an electric fuel system. Figuring out filtering techniques by trial and error was a learning curve that seems so long ago. It's a pleasure to have it down pat and efficient. So happy 4th VO birthday to my truck!

Heck yeah, congrats on 4 years! It's such a good feeling. I was thinking this weekend about how cool it is to run SVO. I went out collecting oil, which I do every 2 - 3 months. I get about 300 gallons at a time, and it's such a great to feeling to be independent with fuel, to know that i'm not a part of BP oil spill mess, and how else do you legally get a $1000 of fuel for free on a sunday afternoon?

For her birthday I'm taking her on a 2K round trip VO road trip next week to southern Arizona. Boycott Arizona? HECK NO!

Congrats on the 4 years. Does anyone ever think that, Man, I wish I would have found this forum BEFORE I started this VO thing? Now with the vast amount of info on the forums, this stuff is really easy.

I refuse to "PRESS 1 for english"! If that is the way this country is gonna go (way, way, way too far left) I say.........Oh, Can-ada,...da da da da ada....I better start learning that anthem.

i wish i had found the forum beforehand, enough time to read up anyway. i probably would have still ended up with the PO's current veg kit.

So chalk up another 2K on VO and I'm at 37K. Trip was fantastic as the weather was not too hot. Truck ran really great in the warm weather but doing a long road trip in an old work truck with 325K was not optimal on my lower back. Gotta fix the leak in my drivers seat lumbar bag...or drive with a pillow.
