I really don’t to type this whole pamphlet but copied from a section on it states Refineries are required to produce ULSD fuel for use in model year 2007 and later vehicles. Failure to use ULLSD could cause damage to the advanced emission control devices on 2007 and later on-highway diesel vehicles. Diesel vehicles manufactured for model year 2006 or earlier do not require ULSD, but are expected to perform well either ULSD or LSD.

If you give me your e-mail I will scan this and send it to you.

Ulsd in theory will require no additives, but i would wait till sime guys run it untill testing it without, ULSD is not availabe in most places yet....
First question it in the pamphlet, I understand LSD is what we have been using since 1993, I agree that the pamphlet states also there one will not have to use any additives to use it in a 2006 or earlier diesel vehicle. I am a little surprised that you don’t have the ULSD since we have it here in Texas already. No it not at every station and I have not seen it any truck stop but it starting to show up more.

Sounds like to me that the 2 cycle oil is a 'good thing'.

I have started using the 2 cycle oil and have noticed a smoother running engine since i put it in, the engine noise under the hood sounds smoother and a little quieter, but the same nice rumble comes out of the exhaust!! (gotta have the noise!!) it does make sense to use 2cycle anyway as it is designed to lubricate and use with fuel. and if it lubricates that's what we want. i use a quart per tank (38gal) will continue to update over time, it is thinner than regular oil so you should get the lube you need and not be too thick especially for colder climates

Went to fill up today and noticed the ULSD sticker on the fuel pump (BP/Amoco).

Looks like it is finally hitting my area, I guess they were waiting for the "stock pile" of LSD to run out before they start switching over the tanks? Not sure when ULSD hit here finally, but I did notice a week ago it was going to be a problem for the Ford dealers in my area to sell the new PSDs without it.
