peterbilt 359

i just read the post about the 379 pete. i have a 359 pete 1/25 scale model in the box. the box has been opened, but is intact. the plastic bags that hold the parts are all un- opened. tires and decals were never in bags, but everything is just the way it was made in 1981. I WILL NOT SELL IT, probably. any ideas what its worth if i did?

january 2003 6.0 F-350 Lariat 4x4 cc with 08 long bed. recon cab and mirror lenses, torqueshift(reman on 9-03-09) with three disc billet convertor(500 rpm lowered stall speed),mag-hytec deep tranny pan,, 8" fabtech lift w/ 37" iroc super swampers on helos,pro comp ladder bars, custom sct x3 with tunes by eric @ innovative diesel, boost and pyro,edge insight, afe, 4" straight piped, ARP headstuds, banks intercooler & high ram intake. engine mods & maintenance by first coast diesel performance.

it is amt model. package(box) says t501 on it under the amt logo. it also has pk-6101 next to "matchbox" it has the ntc-350 cummins. fenders to be painted brown. striping decals are brown with red pinstripe. the decal backing says "the ertl company" it says in the paperwork "another quality product from LENSNEY, makers of matchbox toys"

exactly. that was fast. i will get more out of it building it with my 9 and 4 year old boys, and the 15 year old daughter. btw, 50 bucks if i read correctly is what they are selling for. i wonder if theirs is a 1981?

It might be, they have not made that model in long time, thats why its worth so much.

Same with the trailer on my model log truck. It has not been made since the '80's and I had to pay over a $100 for it!

your truck is awesome. both, the real one and the model. you may have done me a favor because my boys did not know i had the pete. i will go to the store and buy some models and build them with my kids. probably wont build the pete, at least not now. it is so old it would almost desecrate it by building it. do you understand?

My dad got me started building with him. I remember the very first one we did. It was black '80's GMC Bison. Great memories.

A model loses its value monatairily once built but its not doing any good in that box either!

yeah, i know. just don't know what to do. now that the boys have seen it, especially the 4 year old, my hand may be forced.
