galaxy radios??

looking at a galaxy 949 w/viagra and also a galaxy 949 flamethrower w/talkback, anyone have exp. with these radios? If push/pull is 15/20 then this should be a decent radio correct? any input on them is greatly appreciated

I had a newer Galaxy just cant remmember which one ! I still have my dx 44v and my dx55v both are oldschool 10 meter radios. They will reach out an touch someone tho.

The 949 is a decent radio if you only talk on cb channels, fairly easy to get worked on down the road. If you want to talk you are going to need to go to a 10meter though.

I like my 959 - not bad for a stock radio. Never even had the cover off. If I want big radio power, i'll fire up my HR2510 thats been reworked by Doc outta Buffalo Ny..
