Ok yall it is not like this person needs a Galaxie 99, or a President Grant, RCI2950 or like me an RCI6300FT.

All he needs is a simple uniden 25ltd classic or 29. Nothing more. As long as he runs a k40 or wilson 1000 antenna he will be talking for about 10-15 miles radius.

All this talk about illegal setups this and that. Sure the thing about the illegal setups is true. But the likely hood of being caught with an illegal cb setup is very low. Especially when your a mobile unit. Compared to a base station, but anyways, he is not looking for a radio that costs close to 400 dollars like mine. He is just needing a good radio and antenna.

Which is why I recommended what I recommended.

This thread is a fine example of how things go haywire and peoples get their feeling hurt.

I'm with ya Big, plain and simple is all he was asking for.

It will be really really hard to get out 10-15miles with that setup. More like 3-6miles.

I ran the exact setup I recommended for years. With taking the time to get a good match with the radio and antenna. Reaching out 10-15 miles is easy with the set up I recommended.

Im not sying it cant be done. Im far from a CB expert but i know with setups like that even with my SWR very low i can only get out on avg. of 3-6miles.
