people tried that awhile back, they said abunch of independent truckers were gonna do it,im not saying they didnt do it but it did nothing for gas prices,i dont think a few days would do anything,it would have to be like a few months for any body to notice.

One day boycott does nothing, you will buy more before or after said day. So, thats pretty much useless.

You have to change your HABITS, make a list and knock out several errands in a logical path, take public transportation, carpool, drive a different car, leave for work early so you dont sit in traffic, turn off lights, turn up a/c settings so its warmer (or heat down so its cooler), etc

Oh, and shoot your commodities traders. They are the ones driving up price. Speculation is why the price is going nuts. Also, tell your dolt congressmen/senators to get their act together. Allow domestic drilling! Imagine the cost savings then. Get irritated with your gov't about the insane gas tax.

Most are not ready to drop fuel from their life...its a need, unlike bananas for example. We dont need bananas, so if we boycotted bananas, price would drop. Nobody wants to change their fuel consumption habits, so no reason to drop prices. Sure it costs more, but it seems as if most are able to absorb the blow (even if no fun) to the wallet.

well said kinghawg. we have to do more than just stop buying gas...eventually your tank is gonna get empty then what? i wont buy fuel today but only because i bought a tank full yesterday....and BTW if your only paying 80 bucks for a fill up then your not quite hurtin like some of people on here, myself it costs just over 100 and alot of people more...so yeah, anyway... yeah some people did boycott on april 1st, I had a shipment that was delayed because of that so I know that people actually did it. fuel has only gone up since then...sorry to rain on your parade bud.
