F800 with New Holland diesel

So we have an 89 F800 with the new Holland/Brazilian 6.6 diesel. I am looking for some tips on how to get more out of the engine. It is a single axle dump and can hardly get outta its own way. Just lookin for pump tweeks or maybe an inexpensive turbo swap to do. The turbo is a garrett and says A/R .70 on the cold side. The boss doesn't wanna spend a lot of $$ on it. Any tips or suggestions would be great. Thanks, Jason.

Yank it out and put a 12V Cummings in it, you'll be further ahead.
