The oil fields in West Texas are booming right now. Your CDL will benefit you. the local news had a story about the rough necks out there. Some of them had had their own businesses and closed them in Dallas to move out there and work. They said they were easily making 75K.

If you want to stay home and make decent money hook yourself up with a heavy equipment company. OTR driving is a tough life, its fair money but a tough life.

Craig is right, lots of guys have moved out west to haul salt water, pipe and work as roughnecks and the 75K is no joke.

Tons of work down here. Every refinery in this area is expanding, new ones being built, tons of commerce popping up, housing is going up everywhere.

Just do a google search for "refinery expansion" and you will get an idea of the magnitude.
