I know around here you would never fit under any blacktop plants with them high stacks. Thats a nice looking truck.

Thanks. There's bridges in Spokane I couldn't fit under. Had to be conscious of the routes I travelled!

Sorry about that, Gear Jammer. I meant to mention, the stacks were 13'11". You didn't want to sneeze while backing under a 14' door!

Aint the LAW that all trucks have to be under 13'9 unless they are permited to be higher. Or did they never mess with you on that?

I've seen trucks with 15' stacks (or at least close to it -- cause they made mine look short). Just checked CFR 393.83 and the fed law is silent. Might be a State reg but I've never heard of it -- or it could be company policy.

To be sure, if you want to avoid overpass hassles, keeping your stacks under 13'6" is the best policy -- but it don't look as cool!

Anyway, never had it called during inspections -- and the boys in Washington look for everything.

You know, we have lots of woods in North Idaho and I did a lot of hauling up in the mountains and in the wooded areas. All the old time dumpers would tell me I'm going to rip those stacks off but it never happened. The stacks would brush among the branches but never get scratched or damaged.

What am I talkin' about -- I'm an old timer! Oh well!
