Man I gotta change my drawers. I have seen the yellow one run at the Dayton Airshow before. That is just one totally amazing thing to see. A story on a show once revealed that the tread on the tires is very strong, but very thin to keep the tires from destroying themselves as such high speeds.

I talked with the driver one time, the tires are ground down to lighten them and to also heat out of the tires at speeds. The tires are also x-rayed before they are used on the truck. Shaving them down takes about 40 lbs per tire off.
