Hey yall,

Fixin to go to Springfield, Missouri to start training/driving for Prime Inc. I was goin to go school for CR England but found a better deal with Prime, and I dont have to pay 4 k for school when they are goin to teach me what Ive already been through. Been around trucks my whole life. Recently just turned 21 so I can go OTR and get some experience so I can get a local job near where I live. My father in law is an Owner Operator hauling frac sand to oil wells. Just recently upgraded to an 07 379 pete...traded in his black 74 359...goin to miss that truck. Buddy has an 84 359 with a wtx cummins that hauls bull wagons...thing will run like a raped ape. Been wanting to do this for a while now. Ive been unemployed since january and this is the only thing I can find and that has a lot of jobs. Seems to make good money. Im from Texas so all Im used to is petes with 8 inch stacks . Lookin forward to gettin out there and seeing some places, but bein gone that long from home is goin to take some time to getting used to.

Now is the time to get in the industry, keep your nose clean. CSA 2010 is going to get rid of the bad drivers and companies and from what I'm hearing, there is going to be a driver shortage in the next year or so.

Welcome to the org man. Must be hauling Frac sand for the shale gas. I used to hall cement for Hallibortion. They had Kenworths and Stars. Good luck on your driving career.
