Stay out of the trucking buisness period. I have owned 10 trucks for the last 8 years, and it gets harder and harder to make any money at it. Your going to be married to a 120k dollar truck and never see the light of day.

If you must, then look at the International 9900. Cab is huge, has a very nice bunk, and you still get a huge hood. I have 6 petes, a KW, retired Western Star, 2 volvos, and 1 International. I should have stayed with the Internationals. That red badge isnt worth the extra money, plus who wants a cab that you can bang your right elbow on the passenger side door?

Go to school and learn something.

Im an amature but internationals never run out of power with the cummins got two of them and they go anywhere and you can turn up the power on them as well if its not enough good milage plus the biggest cab is worth it.

oh forgot duh i got the N14 cummins in them and they get around with empty or full load of wheat in the fields and dirt hills and ride like dreams......And deffinately dont get the cat motor they use to be good until they had to do the emissions **** and now they suck because cummins and all them put a **** load of time in to making the emissions work with there trucks and cat just slapped them on there last minute and they are having lots of problems with them.... they are piles now but they use to be good till this recent emission law.

Man you cant go wrog with a Western Star. My fav hands down! The 379 and W900 are great choices though. I have driven both extensivly and it is a toss up as to which I like more. As engines go it is more about what you like, no bad choices really. Cat fan myself.

Do you know the difference between a Freightliner and a Jehovah's witness???

You can shut the door on a Jehovah's witness.

I drove an 06 KW W900 over the road and loved it. You sit up a lot higher in the kw and you don't have as big of a blind spot as you do with the pete. Each to his own though.

Cummins engine is my choice. They run just as good as any cat or detroit, and the cummins weighs less, which means you can haul more. My last truck that I drove personally was a 2002 Int 9900IX 3:90 rears, 18 speed, and a 565 Cummins ISX. That truck pulled the rolling hills of PA only dropping half a gear. If I get another truck for me one day...it will be very similar, except now I think the have a 675???? Cummins.

I have gained almost 1.5 mpg using FT-10 fuel treatment, which DiscountPowerParts.com sales. Best fuel treatment on the market. I have a good friend that ownes 70 trucks, and he uses FT-10 as well. He will save 365,000 dollars this year in fuel, but 70 is alot of trucks and alot of miles.
