Oil patch cash is truely like nothing I ever could/would of made in a truck. Home everynite great medical/dental/profit sharing/life/stocks and a chance to do other things than driving. Im glad I got a chance to live out what I thought was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. But once I had the family I knew I had to make a choice.
As far as north Dakota, all I can say is get er done boys! But too dang cold for me.... |

Started with Pinnacle Transportation for a few years, then off to hauling Gas , Bought the first of two trucks and leased to Quality Carriers for a SHORT time , back to pulling gas after that short stint running at 87k 6 days a week till DOT figured out my weight problem, then off to C X Roberson for a year before fuel skyrocketed back in 05 or whenever that was and left due to no FSC.
Pulled the Lease and ended up at Ozark Motor Lines for the better part of the next few years. Fantastic company as far as O/O were concerned. In between was Thomas fuels and lubricants , On-Site fuel Service , and a few independents. Been out of it for three years now after twelve years in it and don't miss a thing about it other than sleeping over a vibrating motor every now and then and the occasional challenge of banging out 1000 miles plus three or four days in a row. Ran two ( with my pops) Classic XL's both with Detroit 500's and 13 speed's with all the parameters wide open. Great trucks both of which in excess of 1.2mm all on original motor , tranny and clutches when sold. |

I drive for Millis Transfer. The pay and miles are very good for what I would call a big/major carrier. I run SE regional and get home on friday and leave sunday or monday. I enjoy it and can't complain.

Who do most of your companies use for washing your rigs? I'm the Regional Manager of a rapidly growing Commercial Fleet Cleaning company and am interested in who y'all use.

some local guys come to our terminals twice a week and wash the tractors. we can also use the streakin beacon

i drive for a local company runnin a lowboy takin equipment to jobsites and back and forth to our quarries, as far as washin the trucks its driver responsibility, and unfortunately they dont really care how the trucks look, some guys keep em nice, others dont. when i get time when theres not much to move i'll spend 3-4 hours washin and polishin the rig

Yea we are about half the price of the streakin beacon and we actually do all our washing on your site

I work for a small private carrier company we operate 4 trucks. I'm mostly a production tech, but I've got a CDL and can hop in any of the rigs and pick up some slack in driving if needed.
