I wonder what iraqi weigh stations look like? LOL. It would be sweet to see how the new diesels perform without the emissions garbage. I take it the military maxxforce 10 has no dpf?

Are you sure that a 5900? The hood is from a 9900 and usually the hood always stays with the chassis no matter how it is modifiyed but then again I don't work on military trucks so that could be completly different. If they are runnin cat engines I figured they must run the c15 that tractor looks heavy as it is and Im sure they pull heavy loads with it. Like I said I dont know military trucks I just thought it would be a bigger engine.

The 5900i is actually the vocational chassis that uses the 9900i short hood. I don't know why they would spec a C13, oh wait, the gov't is too busy spending our money on bailing out GM. So they probably didn't have the extra cash layin around for the big block c15.

We (M915A2) use to run with KBR sometimes. Back in '04 they had up-armored Mercedes Benze Actros. Ever since then I drool of the thought of a Deuce or 5-ton with that Mercedes twin turbo V-8 and 16 speed (8 speed with a splitter) transplanted. That's one strong set-up. That new conventional rig, too long. Trust me, you need a tight turning radius like a cab-over to didi sometimes.

Europe has some dang good truck motors that never make it to the States! I fell in lust with my Dutch friends Dad's Scanya COE/Bro wercker, I thought what an ugly thing when he would show me pix . . . till I drove it when I was in Holland . . . 700+ horses, 24 speed WOW!
