Me vs. 4.6l Mustang GT?

I tried to get my buddy's father-in-law to race me last night but he wouldn't do it. My buddy thinks the Mustang would beat me. He has a stock '96 Mustang GT 4.6l V8. My mods are in my sig.

What do you guys think?

Thats too close to call man... i think he would get you but not by much... its always hard to say he still has to drive the car but you can 4wd launch... that always helps on the street!

I kinda figured traction would be his biggest problem. My brother has an '02 that's the same setup. I'm sure he'll race me. We'll have to see.

Stick. Would that be an advantage or a disadvantage or him?

Sticks launch a little better (if he can drive it) and seam to be a little faster than an auto.

YOu would get him in a 1/4 mile run.... Good launch is all that is needed... Mustangs stock will fun 14 flat or MAYBE high 13s so it will still be close depending on the driver

Ya i think your right on the high 13s. I think i read one time that a mach1 mustang (3valve) engine without a spare tire and a 1/4 tank of fuel would run 12.99. If its just a GT it doesnt have nearly the power of a mach1 so you should be good to go!
