alrighty guys, my truck vs. a decently built civic, import, etc. by built i mean turbo, nitrous, exhaust, blah blah blah, all that fast and furious stuff. anyone been smoked by an import, from a roll or a dig? are these little matchbox cars really capable of beating a decently modded diesel powered ford pickup? thoughts, comments, suggestions? lets hear it.

From a stop witha boost launch you should have him out if the hole and hold it. Rolling start, that depends on the car, but I wouldn't expect to win fro
a roll start.

integra with a b20 block and a meddium turbo from a roll yea you gonna lose, a supera with any mods you gonna lose, 350/370Z with mods no bueno. but a civic or simmilar with just a 4banger you gonna win either way. but look out for those DSM's (eclipse/talon/eagle) first or second gen with a factory turbo, will be hard to beat from a roll. but like ford guy said boosted launch you got them all out the hole, oh and watch and subaru with mods they get fast ez. some here are putting down 400-500hp to the gound.

I got my azz handed to me by a Nissan 240 a while back, he piped me at a light and when she went green away we went. I had a boosted launch and that got me the whole shot. for oh 200 feet then i just hear this thing buzz past me, BOV going between shifts so id assume she was built rather well. Either way i dont mess with those guys anymore. maybe a fart can honda or same fart can cavilear but I still always expect to lose

A mildly modded Evo or Sti will spank the tuned Dmaxes that we have around here, not too many ford guys moidding 6.0's here(and racing them), alot of 7.3's and 6.4's ......the gas station I work at overnights is the prep spot for some of the street racers around here, and i hear them talk all the time, and youll see them racing on green at the stoplight right out front...its pretty cool, like having front row seats at the drag every friday and saturday night lol.

More than possible in your matchup, the car will have the edge.

You have a lot of force but the 7,000 pounds lake a lot more to over come the 3,000 pound car, like more than twice.

Do not over look the force of the moving a barn door to a small doggy door in frontal area air drag.

one time by accident i raced a 2007 or 08 benz ml-350 i had till ohhh about 40-45ish...then my weight kicked in and its top end speed kicked in i was pretty impressed why my girl lol.
oh and ive raced my gf scion tc...she was driving it, yeah i lost from a rolling start she has me good and from the light i have her for a good 200-300 ft not pretty haha

any properly riced out ricer can smoke most diesel trucks. Even civics can be made to run a high 9 second.

diesel trucks are just waaaay to heavy i mean there might be a few out there can give a civic a good whoopin but not mannny....i have a friend that a dirtymax we rode in it an beat an civic si from a rolling start. his excuse "uhh i missed a gear" yeah yeah yeah he wanted to re-race we didnt give it to him.

there are alot of nicely modded imports around my town that think they are da shznit, and would like to give some of them a run for their money. my buddy used to have a 240, i never raced him but it felt really fast. when u guys launch in 4 hi do you just leave it in 4 wheel till you slow down or flick it off at like 20 or 30 mph. i really wanna go rice huntin this weekend, lol.
