06 SCT vs 05 PPE

My buddy has a 05 2500 and he is getting a PPE standard tuner. He thinks i would beat him but ive been in a duramax with a PPE with 38s and it was pretty darn quick but never got to race him he sold it for a 6.4 with a spartan so i dont know how it ran compared to mine. Im running a 06 f-250 4x4 (boosted launch ) with matt's SLR tune. Im getting studs and ether a turbo or injectors soon cant decide wich would be better so if I cant run him down this time I sure will later.

It all depends on what ppe program he is running. If hes afraid of taking the tranny out then its probably a smaller tune but who knows. Those duramaxs are fast ive to give them that.

You should have him. My buddy had a ppe on his duramax and he ran it on 90 and it was quick but you shouldn't have any problems

My buddy has an 05 D-Max with a PPE Hot+2. He is running the 120 hp tune and I was running the canned performance tune. We did a non-boosted launch and he only got me by 1/2 a truck and that was right off the line because I spun more than him. Once I caught traction he never pulled on me. I haven't had a chance to run him with my x-race, but I'm sure I could take him. You shouldn't have any problems.

By the way, it's an 07 LBZ. PPE will go up to level 4 (225hp) during spring break, once I get my Airdog fuel pump and TRANSGO jR shift kit. If my winter steers sell good, I may even look into a suncoast IV trans, maybe a turbo if I haven spent all my money. Watch out kid, even if you are my little.
