Ford accepted a Government loan?

I was upset when I learned that the Dept. of Energy loaned Nissan 1.4 Billion in order to build the Leaf. So, I started to do a search and found this:

Ford, Nissan Quietly Received Loans From Department of Energy For Fuel-Efficient Vehicles

Kind of old, but can we still say Ford never accpeted a loan? Or can we just say Ford never accepted a Bailout Loan?

Re-tooling and bankruptcy/bail out are two different arguments

Ford took a loan and paid back in full. GM took a bailout, went bankrupt and then did not have to pay back the 11.2 billion the tax payers lost.

Completely different.
