I am pretty sure they are only on the cab, but I could be wrong. You are right, if you did the cab and bed in one continuous piece it most certainly would bend and tear stuff up.

At one point my brother had diamond plate from his front wheel to his rear wheel with leds monted in them. Where the cab and bed met the bolts were always loosing up. They neevr twisted or bent but we were always tightened up the bolts.

They're on the cab only. Not an issue.

The grill is all steel, even the outer shell. It's no longer made by the manufacturer. Keep your eye open for it in the forsale section as I'll be upgrading the front end within the year.

I got diamond plate...mine cost $50 bucks from Central Jersey Customs.
