I wonder if they would get pissed if we went to the airport and started dragging planes everywhere?

In reality - not really that hard to beleive. Flat surface - it's just getting it rolling - not that hard - not like your trying to stop it from rolling - then the momentum and weight will overcome you. But just to get it rolling - yeah - I beleive it.

They tried to make it seem like it was a world record that nothing else could do it. I dont see how that thing could hold 4.5 tons in the cargo area and not squat. Thats where I call b s. The rest I can understand once you break it lose. I just think there where some mods done to that thing. I dont believe it was stock. There is just something fishy about it.

Easy, it is real, I believe it. Think about it, at the airport when these things get pushed back from the gate it is basically a small truck doing that. Low gear ratio, i.e. 4 low and that engine is pretty much a small truck enigne, just what we are sporting in our trucks. VW just had the money for the PR stunt, I bet anything a stock PSD 4x4 with that much weight added to get traction would do the same. Now a nicely tuned PSD may get it fast enough for it to lift off... Try that for publicity...

True......but either way it don't mean a damn to me, let's see that thing pull over 20K up a steep grade and then back down at 60MPH without a sweat.......or better yet hook the "VW" up to a horse trailer with 7 or 8 wild azz horses throwin' the trailer from side to side.....
