They have also started ticketing big rigs if they idle over 5 minutes, if they do that, that's fine, I want the SAME agency sitting out in front of every school and ticketing every car that is sitting there idling, waiting to pick up their kids.

I dunno why everyone is sooooooo worried about this smog thing? Simple as this, if your vehicle came equiped with a catelletic converter from the factory put it back on and put stock tuning back in, drive to the smog center, test the vehicle and chances are you'll pass, pay bill, then be on your way. This smog thing is only for vehicles registered in California. If your vehicle is registered out of state they don't really have anything on you. It's like sales tax on out of state purchases. If you do'nt live their you don't pay the taxes.

Well, we are worried in California. It will be an idle test, stab (throttle) test and visual for the cat, and smog stuff associated with the year of the vehicle. Then they check the dash...no lights and plug into the ob port to check and make sure all system are working..... Going back to 1998. There for twin turbos, big injector, straight piped trucks will have a hard time....no twin turbo will pass other than the 6.4 that comes factory with them. Non vgt powerstrokes won't either.
