Hey guys, I am not new to this site, but don't usually post unless I need help. Well the past week my old girl decided she wanted new hydraulics, so after installing a new prebled system she still wasnt happy, finally got that resolved Friday night. Drove her Saturday and last night with no problems until about two miles from my house the throwout bearing went out. So I am rounding everything to drop the tranny, but have never done this before so any suggestions on ways to make it easier, what tools I might want to make sure I have and always any input in general would be greatly appreciated. Now I am a girl, so keeping things in girl terms is helpful but I have been working on my own trucks since before I could drive so I do have some sort of clue. I am picking up a tranny jack tonight and have a neighbor that is letting me use their concerete slab to work on. Also if any of yall want to help please feel free to let me know lol I will provide the beer. I ordered a new throwout bearing, pilot bearing and clutch fork today. Parts should be in Thursday but figured it is going to take me some time to get it out since it is my first time. I am located just outside of Tucson in Catalina. The old girl I am working on is a 97 7.3L 5 spd 4x4 extended cab short bed with 205k on her, completely stock except for the ValAir clutch my brother installed back in 09 for me and the gooseneck hitch my uncle and I put in her two years ago.
